Some children from Amethyst Class Visited St Anne’s Hebrew Synagogue this week as part of their learning in RE. They had a lovely time with Rabbi Danny who showed us around the synagogue, told us lots about the Tanakh (Jewish Scriptures) and even showed us the Torah scrolls in the Ark. They got to see and handle some yad pointing sticks and Rabbi Danny showed us how he wraps tefillin. They especially enjoyed the biscuits that some of the congregation had kindly prepared for us! (Rabbi Danny also said that we were the friendliest school that had visited and he was super impressed with the children’s behaviour – well done, WSP!)
